India earned a sizable haul of 2020 Olympics berths during the Asian boxing Olympic qualifiers, with the likes of Mary Kom, Vikas Krishan, Lovlina Borgohain and five others winning their deciding bouts.
With the pressure of qualifying now gone for these Indian boxers, they can fully exert themselves in the semi-finals and possibly, the finals, with an aim to cap off the qualifiers in the best way possible.
Vikas Krishan and Lovlina Borgohain will head the morning session, taking on Ablaikhan Zhussupov of Kazakhstan and China’s Gu Hong respectively.
Then, the evening session will see Pooja Rani face China’s Li Qian while Simranjit Kaur will take on Chinese Taipei's Shih-Yi Wu.
Among the men, the second half will see Ashish Kumar and Satish Kumar take to the ring, going up against Philippines’ Eumir Marcial and Uzbekistan’s Bakhodir Jalolov respectively.

Mary Kom (51kg), Sakshi Chaudhary (57kg), Simranjit Kaur (60kg), Lovlina Borgohain (69kg) and Pooja Rani (75kg).
Asian boxing Olympic qualifiers fixtures and schedule
With the preliminary and quarter-final bouts out of the way, the qualifiers will see the semi-final rounds will be held on March 10, with the finals and the remaining semi-finals set for March 11.
