Striker Thomas Muller will be the notable absentee when champions Bayern Munich resume their Bundesliga commitments with a home fixture against Arminia Bielefeld in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The German international was diagnosed with COVID-19 during the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar and is expected to be out of action for a few weeks. Muller is the third Bayern Munich player to test positive for COVID-19 recently after Leon Goretzka and Javi Martinez returned positive for the coronavirus a week ago.
In Thomas Muller’s absence, either Jamal Musiala or Serge Gnabry is expected to play with Bayern Munich eager to extend their five-match winning streak in the Bundesliga. Watch Bayern vs Arminia live in India.
Arminia Bielefeld, meanwhile, come into the tie on the back of a 5-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt. The newly-promoted Arminia Bielefeld are 16th on the points table and could face relegation.
