The IOC released a statement saying their executive board expressed their full commitment to the success of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, taking place from 24 July to 9 August.

After the meeting on 3 March to address the coronavirus situation, the board reiterated its support for the measures taken, which constitute an important part of Tokyo’s plans to host safe and secure Games.

The IOC said it will continue to follow the advice of WHO, as the leading United Nations agency on this topic.
