Grenoble curfew means the Internationaux de France becomes the second ISU Grand Prix event to be canceled this year.
The Internationaux de France, part of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The event was originally due to take place November 13-15 in Grenoble, and is the second of six Grand Prix series competitions to be called off this season after Skate Canada suffered the same fate.
The decision was taken by the French figure skating federation after French President Emmanuel Macron placed a curfew in the host city.
Some of the sport's biggest names who were scheduled to compete at the French event including home favourites Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron, as well as Japan's Shoma Uno and Rika Kihira.

The skating season will now start with Skate America in Las Vegas this Friday, with empty bleachers and mostly U.S. skaters competing due to coronavirus-related travel restrictions.
The ISU has also canceled December's Grand Prix Final, which would have taken place in Beijing and was going to be used as a test event for the 2022 Winter Olympics.
