Raina and her Russian partner Kamila Rakhimova won in straight sets against their Belarusian counterparts
Ankita Raina and Kamila Rakhimova booked their place in the last four of the Phillip Island Trophy after beating Vera Lapko and Aliaksandra Sasnovich.
The Indo-Russian pair won in straight sets 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) in the match held on Court 5.
The duo made a strong start, winning the first set after showing commendable composure to save five of the six break points faced, while converting two of three they earned to edge ahead.
But their Belarusian rivals continued to put up strong resistance in the second set and forced a tie-breaker.
A couple of breaks of serve were traded as the rivals headed into a second set tiebreak.
Raina and Rakhimov then asserted full control, cruising past their opponents 7-2 to win the match in 94 minutes.
In the semi-finals, they will go up against Francesca Jones of Greta Britain and Nada Podoroska of Argentina. In the quarterfinals, they outclassed Petra Martic of Croatia and Anastasija Sevastova of Latvia 6-3, 6-2.
