European aspirants Arsenal and Leicester City clash at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday (early in Wednesday in India) in a crunch match that could see major movements in the top half of the table. You can watch live streaming of this match.

Both Arsenal and Leicester City come to the match on the back of encouraging wins against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace, respectively.

Where they stand in the Premier League table

After restarting their campaign in June with two consecutive losses against Manchester City and Brighton, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have won three league games on the trot to sit seventh with 49 points.

Leicester City, on the hand, have finally managed to get back to their pre-COVID-19 form after two draws and two defeats in June. Their win last Saturday saw the Foxes stay one point ahead of Chelsea in the third place with 58 points.

Likely starting line-ups

Arsenal:

Emiliano Martinez, Shkodran Mustafi, David Luiz, Sead Kolasinac, Hector Bellerin, Dani Ceballos, Granit Xhaka, Kieran Tierney, Bukayo Saka, Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Leicester City:

Kasper Schmeichel, James Justin, Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu, Christian Fuchs, Ayoze Perez, Wilfred Ndidi, Youri Tielemans, Harvey Barnes, Kelechi Iheanacho, Jamie Vardy

Injury updates and team news

A huge boost for Arsenal will be the return of Nicolas Pepe after the winger missed the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers after his wife gave birth.

Amongst the big doubts remains Mesut Ozil, who is struggling with a back injury, and he will be subject to a late fitness test.

Mikel Arteta will continue to miss the services of goalkeeper Bernd Leno, forward Gabriel Martinelli, and defenders Pablo Mari and Calum Chambers - who are all out for the season.

Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to squeeze in left-back Ben Chilwell and midfielder Ayoze Perez in the starting eleven, who are subject to late fitness tests. While Ben Chilwell suffered an Achilles issue against Crystal Palace, Ayoze Perez was taken off following an ankle injury in the same match.

Among the long-term absentees are Ricardo Pereira and Daniel Amartey.

Arsenal vs Leicester City head-to-head

Leicester City have won three of their last five league matches against Arsenal. The Gunners have won on the other two occasions with the last draw between the two sides coming in the 2016-17 season.

Players to watch out for

Mikel Arteta’s go-to man will still be Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has scored 19 goals this season so far. Alexandre Lacazette, who took his goal tally to eight with a late goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers, will also look to be the perfect partner for the Gabon international.

Jamie Vardy remains the biggest threat from Leicester City as the English striker completed 100 goals in the Premier League with a brace against Crystal Palace.

Ayoze Perez and Harvey Barnes have complimented the star striker quite well as the duo is directly involved in 13 goals for the club this season.
