Somali-British boxer Ramla Ali, who was due to fight Vanesa Caballero next Saturday on the undercard of the Anthony Joshua-Kubrat Pulev fight, has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Ali, who turned pro in September with Matchroom Boxing, will now end her year and look to 2021.

"I began to show symptoms from Tuesday last week, which is when I began to self isolate as a precaution," she said on Instagram. "It's not how I wanted to finish the year but I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had in 2020 and look forward to an exciting 2021 once I have fully recovered."

Earlier this year, she took part in the Boxing Road to Tokyo 2020 African Olympic qualifiers, being eliminated at the quarter-final stage in the women's featherweight division.

After turning pro, the 31-year-old won her debut fight against Eva Hubmayer on points on the undercard of a fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Dereck Chisora.

Her fight against Spaniard Caballero has now been cancelled.
