The 2020-21 edition of the UEFA Champions League will see two of the greatest footballers of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi face-off in the group stages.

This after Italian champions Juventus were drawn alongside Barcelona in Group G of the competition on Thursday. Completing the group will be Ukraine’s Dynamo Kyiv and Hungarian side Ferencváros.

The two football superstars had developed a healthy rivalry during their time in La Liga, but it ended when Ronaldo moved to Juventus to play in the Serie A

Meanwhile, the draw also gives last season’s losing finalists Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) an opportunity to face English giants Manchester United, who ousted the French club from the UEFA Champions League two seasons ago.

Joining the two in Group H of the UEFA Champions League are last year’s entertainers RB Leipzig from Germany and debutants İstanbul Başakşehir F.K. of Turkey.

Premier League champions Liverpool could be in for a tricky ride with Dutch powerhouse Ajax FC, Italy’s Atalanta and FC Midtjylland awaiting them in Group D.

Meanwhile, UCL titleholders Bayern Munich have 2015-16 runners-up Atletico Madrid clubbed alongside them in Group A. Other teams in the group include Austria’s RB Salzburg and Russian side Lokomotiv Moskva.
