It will be a reunion in Europe for Brazilian superstar Neymar as his club Paris St.Germain drew Lionel Messi’s Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 draw in Nyon, Switzerland.
It will be the first time that the Barcelona vs PSG clash will take place in the UCL since their iconic match in the 2016-17 season when Barcelona won 6-1 in the second leg. That overturned a three-goal deficit from the first leg to produce one of the most memorable comebacks in football history.
Neymar, who was one of Barcelona’s heroes on that night, will now find himself on the opposite end of the pitch for the first time against them since his move to PSG in 2017.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus will take on 2003-04 UCL champions Porto as the Portuguese superstar chases his sixth UEFA Champions League title with a third different team. If Ronaldo does manage the feat, he will become only the second player after Clarence Seedorf to win the UCL with three different teams.
Defending champions Bayern Munich, meanwhile, drew Italian team Lazio in the Round of 16 while record 13-time UCL champions Real Madrid play Italy's Atalanta.
English teams Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool face tough fixtures in the UCL Round of 16. 2018-19 UCL champions Liverpool have drawn German high-fliers RB Leipzig while Chelsea will play a reformed Atletico Madrid and Manchester City have drawn German club Borussia Monchengladbach.
