German Georg Hackl was the first luger to have won medals at four consecutive Olympics in singles luge (and only one thru 2006). After a silver medal in 1988 at Calgary, Hackl also became the first man to defend the Olympic luge singles title, winning in both 1992 and 1994, and he repeated that triumph for a three-peat in 1998. He is one of only three men (Gillis Grafström in individual figure skating and Ulrich Wehling in Nordic combined) and three women (Sonja Henie in individual figure skating, Bonnie Blair in 500 speed skating, and Claudia Pechstein in 5,000 speed...
