In only a few short years, Korea’s Kim Soo-Nyung established herself as the greatest woman archer of the modern era. In 1988, Kim won an individual and team gold medal in archery at the Olympics. Nicknamed “Viper,” she was also women’s individual and team world champion in both 1989 and 1991. Through 1990, she held every woman’s world record at all distances and the overall as well.
